Celebrate the New Year in the vibrant Dutch capital! This wonderful city, with its canals and step-gabled buildings, bustling bars and cafes and world-renowned museums, never fails to delight. Every year it puts on an unforgettable New Year's Eve show that includes spectacular fireworks, festive beer tents and street entertainment.

Your Itinerary

Day One

Leaving the local area in the early morning we travel to Dover or Folkestone for our channel crossing. Once in France, we continue to Holland, arriving at our four-star hotel by mid to late evening.

Day Two

In the late morning we'll head to Amsterdam. Explore, or join our optional canal cruise. View the beautiful buildings lining the three 'grand' canals: the Herengracht, Prisengracht and Keizersgracht. Some house cosy pubs, others shops, others elegant, half-hidden hotels; but most are home to residents of this still very 'lived-in' city. After the cruise, the excursion will include a tour of a famous diamond-polishing factory.

In the early evening, join us for an optional evening meal at the famous floating Sea Palace restaurant where you'll be able to enjoy the Rijsttafel, which has become Holland's national dish, an Indonesian speciality made up of 12 exotic dishes.

Later on, make your way into the heart of Amsterdam and enjoy the city's marvellous celebrations. Dam Square is set up with beer tents and live shows, and is a lively place to view the firework displays. If you would prefer a less crowded place to see the fireworks, pick any bridge on the city's main canals and as the clock strikes midnight, watch the sky erupt with light and sound!

After what promises to have been a truly memorable visit to this wonderful city, we'll re-board the coach and head back to the hotel.

Day Three

Around noon today we bid farewell to Holland, return to Calais and cross the Channel. Once back in the UK, we'll return to your original pick-up point, arriving in the late evening.
